As part of its year-long 150th anniversary celebration, and in keeping with its tradition of giving back to the communities it serves, this spring Westport-based Gault Energy & Stone launched an "Acts of Community" program to honor the many individuals and groups that have become the backbone of our Fairfield County communities. On Sunday, June 9th, the company treated 150 Easton Little League players and their families to ice cream pops at the League's end of season picnic held at Easton Country Day School. Gault Energy Territory Manager John Dehler (right) handed out the pops to the eager players, an Act of Community he volunteered for, citing his love of baseball and his own great memories playing ball on Gault Field in Westport, which the Gault family built in 1947, bringing Little League to the town for the first time. Also pictured with the young players is Jason Studney, left, Physical Education Teacher at Easton's Samuel Staples Elementary School.
We hope everyone enjoyed!
