WESTPORT:
Halloween Window Painting Contest

It’s time again to get into the Halloween spirit and come dress up town windows with your best ghostly works of art. Artists, families, schools, clubs and small groups of 2 or 3, are encouraged to sign-up to paint our town’s shop windows with spooky family-friendly Halloween scenes. Windows will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis by the Chamber of Commerce office. Each artist or group supplies his or her own tempera paints (not acrylics), brushes, drop cloths, paper towels and ladder if needed.

Rock Your Halloween - Family Event-Open House
Saturday, October 26; 1:30 - 3pm
Admission: $35 for non-member families, $25 for member families, or $15 per non-member and $10 per member
The Westport Historical Society is getting all crafty for Halloween with some family fun! Crafts will include making pumpkins, masks, and giant skulls from everyday materials. Craft making will be followed by a snack of spicy cider and pumpkin muffins and a tour of the museum’s rooms where some ghosts and their frightening friends await you!

Halloween Spectacular
Tuesday, October 29; 3 pm in front of the YMCA and 4 pm on the Town Green

The Parks and Recreation Department, Downtown Merchants Association and Westport P.A.L. team up to offer a wonderful Halloween event for the children of Westport. Children will march up Main Street, trick or treating along the way, eventually making their way to Town Hall for more treats. Afterwards, a gathering on the Green will take place with fun-filled entertainment from DJ’s Music Mania and lots of cookies and juice. Snack and drinks from Parks and Recreation will be available. Don’t let the rain scare you....the parade might be canceled but the entertainment will move to the Town Hall Auditorium.

NORWALK:
The Ghostly Sightings Tour at Mathews Mansion
Friday - Sunday, October 18-20 & Friday, October 25; tours from 12 - 4pm
Admission: $20 per person

The Ghostly Sightings Tour will focus on the history of the house, when it was a private residence, between 1868 and 1938. Visitors may encounter a ghost who is haunted by those memories and walks through the first and second floors of the Mansion during tour hours, but only at Halloween!

A Haunting at Mill Hill

Take a lantern light tour through the historic Mill Hill graveyard. Hear stories of murder, death, and destruction! Meet renegade Tory Esaias Bouton, the Leatherman, a wandering dark spirit who roams Fairfield County and others from Norwalk’s colorful past… Bring a flashlight.
